Kimmo Siren Laurintien toisesta päästä kävi tänään nuohoamassa hormit ja tulisijat. On se hienoa katsella, kun ammattimieheltä homma käy. Edellisen ja ensimmäisen kerran meillä oli nuohous 24.6.2014. Siitä kätevää taas tämä blogin pitäminen, että kaikki asiat on ylhäällä ja nopeasti tarkistettavissa, kun omassakin blogissa voi hakea hakusanalla. Tämä toimii siis niin kuin omankin muistin tukena. Sanoinkin Sirenin Kimmolle, että pitää laittaa hänen käyntinsä tänne blogiin, niin muistaa sitten taas itsekin, koska pitää seuraavan kerran nuohousta tilata.

Nythän sitä joutuu omakotitalon asukas Vantaalla itse huolehtimaan, että nuohous tulee tehtyä. Vielä viime vuonna Vantaa kuului piirinuohoukseen, ja nuohoojat ilmoittivat aina itse etukäteen, milloin ovat tulossa. Nyt en ainakaan itse saanut tänä vuonna mitään etukäteisilmoituksia, mutta soittelin nuohoojalle, kun tuli vuosi täyteen edellisestä kerrasta, ja itselläni sattui kesälomakin sopivasti, että sen puolesta voi poiketa meille ihan koska tahansa.

Meillä on nyt tähän mennessä asumisaikana käytetty polttopuuta eli rakentamisen ylijäämäpuuta yhteensä noin 10 kuutiota. Eniten nokea näytti irronneen saunan pesän tiilihormissa, joka on 3 kerroksen korkuinen. Kysyinkin pitäisikö se nuohota tällä käyttöasteella useammin kuin kerta vuoteen, niin ei kuulemma tarvitse – kerran vuodessa riittää, vaikka nonikeko hormin pohjalla oli tällä kertaa niin suuri, että se alkoi melkein itsekseen valua ulos, kun nuohousluukku avattiin tiilipiipun alapäässä.

Käyttö näkyi myös Tiilerin ison takan sisuksissa, jonne en ollutkaan aiemmin kurkannut. Näytti, että nokea oli seinämät täynnä aika paksulti, mutta nuohoojan mukaan näkymä oli ”ihan normaali”. En tiedä onko puulajeilla mitään vaikutusta nokeentumiseen, joku on muistaakseni joskus sanonut, että koivupuu nokeaa enempi kuin esim. leppäpuu.

Meillä on nyt kuitenkin enimmäkseen poltettu kuusipuuta, mitä rakentamisesta jäi. Kuormalavatkin taitaa olla enimmäkseen kuusipuuta?
