Tänään oli ensimmäinen tapetointipäivä – muutamiin huoneisiin päätettiin laittaa yksi seinä tapetilla. Hyvä tapettien ostopaikka Vantaalla on muuten Bauhaus – siellä on hyvä valikoima, ja aika asiakasystävälliset hinnat. IKEA:ssa tapetteja ei ole ollenkaan (?), K-raudassa, RTV:llä, Starkilla yms. löytyy – mutta hinnat ovat aika hurjat, eikä näistä kaupoista parilla kympillä kovin kummoista tapettirullaa saa…

Toinen vuota menossa, alaosa taitettuna kahden kerroin. Ikkuna tekisi mieli ottaa vastaan 20cm tapettisoirolla, mutta silloin menisi toistuva kuvateema vaakatasossa sekaisin.

Tässä kuviossa meillä oli menetelmä sellainen, että tapetit leikattiin jo lattialla kaikki sopivan mittaisiksi ja aseteltiin sopivalla tavalla rinnakkain. Sen jälkeen kun ensimmäinen on seinällä ja toista yrittää saada viereen, niin jos ei sitä ole kuvioiden kannalta sopivista kohdista katkaistu, niin ei niiden kuvioiden vertailu enää siinä seinällä onnistu niin hyvin kuin lattialla.
